- Previous experience working with children

- Ability to create and implement curriculum
- Experience with Classroom and Behavior Management
- Bilingual Capabilities (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION
Classroom Management
- Create a safe, organized learning space; ensure compliance with licensing and regulations.
- Plan development – appropriate curricula and lessons aligned with WCEC’S philosophy.
- Oversee materials, supplies, and forms; manage room cleanliness and attractiveness.
- Train and supervise staff; promote team teaching and discuss program needs.
- Manage attendance, meal counts, and evaluations.
Interaction with Children
- Engage effectively with children, creating a warm and inclusive environment.
- Foster independence, problem-solving, and cooperation.
- Address negative behavior with appropriate discipline.
Parent Relations
- Greet parents, communicate professionally, and respect their values.
- Conduct parent conferences, contribute to newsletters, and partner with parents.
Staff Relations
- Work as a team player, support colleagues, and communicate openly.
Professional Traits
- Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive role model.
- Dress and behave appropriately; attend trainings and meetings.
- Be reliable, adaptable, and receptive to feedback.
